To start a scan, click the Scan button on the Main Toolbar.
As soon as you click the Scan button, it toggles to the Cancel Scan position.
You can monitor the scan progress in the status bar at the bottom of the
page.
(There is a long 45 second break in instructions while the scanning process
finishes.)
You can also start a scan by choosing the Scan menu -> Start New Scan, or by pressing F 9 on the keyboard.
If you choose Rescan, the current page will be replaced by the new scan.
Insert Page places the new page just ahead of the current page.
Delete Page deletes the current page.
Scan Repeatedly allows you to specify an interval for automatic scanning.
If you are working with a small format book, such as a paperback novel, and both pages will fit on the scanner, you can choose Two-Page mode.
If you have an automatic document feeder you can choose Single or Double-Sided scanning.
Scanner Setup allows you to choose the scanner if you have more than one
connected to your computer and allows you to specify a page size.
This concludes Section 5a.
