Bookmarks provide a way to quickly access points in the text previously marked by the student or teacher.
To set a bookmark, place the cursor at the location of the bookmark and select the text that you would like to serve as the title of the bookmark.
Then click Bookmark on the Study Skills Toolbar, and in the Bookmarks box click Add. The bookmark icon has been added to the page.
I have now added four chapters to the bookmarks. A quick way to add the chapters is to use the Find dialogue box under Edit -> Find -> Find Text.
We are already on Chapter 4. If I click Find Next, it should take us to Chapter 5. And we can set our next bookmark.
To jump to a particular bookmark, click the Bookmark button on the study skills tool bar. Choose the name of the bookmark and click Go To.
To delete a bookmark, select the bookmark and click Delete.
Notice that the bookmarks can be displayed in alphabetical order or in reading order.
To pause at bookmarks when reading in continuous mode, choose Tools -> Options, and on the Reading Tab, check the box beside Pause at Bookmarks.
Now Kurzweil will pause at each bookmark while reading.
To extract your bookmarks choose File -> Extract -> Bookmarks, and they will be sent to a new file.
They will be exported in either reading order or alphabetical order,
depending on the order you chose in the bookmarks dialogue box.
This concludes Section 13.
